I sent a couple of lenses to Huang end of last year, via USPS. There's basically a flat rate of around $30 to ship a box which can contain more than one broken lens. I've lost my notes but it got there, I think, in about ten days (from west coast of US). He replaced the aperture gears within about 2 days, sent me photos of the fixes he made, and had them out for shipping a few days later. Took six days to go from Taiwan to Los Angeles, where it then sat in a postal facility for several days. Then shipped northwards via truck to my small town in the PNW. However, due to a staffing shortage, it then sat in my local Post Office for 3 days before delivery.

All told, the process took about 4 weeks and nearly all of that was the shipping time and the USPS delay upon return. Huang was great and would send him lenses again, if needed.

Glad to have the details on this forum.

Here is a copy from my original post on dpreview, on having my 30-110 N1 lens fixed:

*The whole process of sending and receiving the fixed lens was so much quicker than I expected, and Huang was so incredibly helpful throughout the process, even sent some shots of the new sturdier wheel going in I can't recommend him enough for anyone else who goes through this dreaded fail.

    Timeframe for fix from UK

Thursday August 4th: contacted MYDC for quote for fix.

Friday August 5th: posted lens as instructed via Royal Mail.

Thursday August 11th: Lens arrived at MYDC and photos of fix sent to me same day!!!!!! Paid for service through PayPal invoice,

Friday August 12th: Lens posted back to me

Tuesday August 23rd: Lens arrives back home in perfect working order!

Thats 18 days in total from sending to receiving, which I think is utterly amazing.*

I will not hesitate to send more failing lenses his way, and the existence of this fix is what inspired me to complete my set of lenses and trust that I will be getting use out of these cameras for years to come :)
