Greetings from Oz! I am new to my camera and this forum (was just getting into the old one and poof gone, bummer!) but looking forward to learning more on this site and posting some photos! I have one simple question to start with, it seems like when I crop a photo on my camera, although it says it will make a copy and rename it RSCN...the original seems to have disappeared?? I obviously will stop cropping on my camera until I figure this out...but does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks so much and looking forward to getting to know this community :)

Are you talking about the Coolpix 950 (1999) or the Coolpix P950 (2020)?

ah yes, the Coolpix P950, sorry. And, I think I have figured it out...the cropped photos have a new file name and number that isn't related to the original photo number, I think. So I was looking in the wrong place for them! I'm also new to culling, downloading and otherwise doing anything with my photos.
