My NX Studio has never been stable from January on.

When I browse a folder with only icons and no preview, it's ok.
I can use it for hours that way > useful to see focus points <

If there is a preview open or if I double click an icon
->>after a short time, it can be 4, it can be 40 seconds<<
the previewed image disappears and a "processing" message appears on a blank background.

Say, 10-15 seconds later NxStudio close without leaving any trace of its existence.-
I've put on some traces, and checked to build a crash log. Nothing. That seems a standard closure.

Used IoBit-Unistaller on the previous version.

I'm re-installing 1.4 right now with not a great hope.

    Hold on tightly ....

    Alas ... same as before.
It crashes after getting that message...
'till then everything seems to be working fine.

( like the previous versions )

From the start I have not been able to access my E: drive from the program. Otherwise no difficulties.

    Uninstalled NX 1.4 & Transfer

    Downloaded the 1.1.2
    Installed it

It's working perfectly, but not showing the focus point.

Nikon NX previous version index ( both Windows and Apple)

on FileHorse version 1.2.1 & 1.2.2 as well
( I was not able to find any of the ref on Nikon's official site - Windows )

I found 1.2.2 is the last version that works correctly. Every version since, refuses to recognize the files in any Folder created after the newer version was installed. As per Nikon's normal MO, they refuse to admit they created a faulty product.

A windows thing? I'm on Mac Ventura and 1.2.2 is the latest.

If I click on any of the above versions I'm automatically redirected to the Mac version.

Note that the later versions only will run on Windows 10 and 11 machines.

I reached out to Nikon Support about my issue. After a while, the solution they came up with was to create a new Windows user. Much to my surprise that worked, as when logged in as the new user I can access my E: drive from the program without difficulties.

You might try the same, who knows.

That makes a Mess, jumping around from one Desltop/Profile to and another. Perhaps Nikon's K9 seducing Puppy Pounding Management should actually do their Jobs and make sure their Software isn't all buggy
