Just a test run to see if I can get an image posted.

Taken with Olympus E-410 and ZD14-54mm.

I uploaded the image as a file from my computer. Then, after I placed my cursor where I wanted the image to appear, I used the "insert into message" button for the post. It shows "thumb" in the link, so I guess it will display as a thumbnail. File size is 1.9m. I have to wonder if there are / will be limits to the size. I really like that there is a "preview" button. I usually see my typos after I post!

Good find! I didn't notice that when I uploaded an image. I edited my post and now my image shows large too. That worked even if I can't post in that thread anymore, "unknown error".

As I understand it this forum software is temporary anyway, so it doesn't really matter how things work until the final solution is in place.

Thanks Rich! I am most hopeful for this forum because bobn2 has been very open about it. Currently it's not like what we're used to but it appears that enough hands want to jump in and help that it can get there. For the rest of this week I'm going to try to stay focused on DPR and go through all the Sunday Cat! threads from day 1 to look for the gems. Probably too many of them.

Now that I've started the last Sunday Cat! thread at DPR, I'm trying to spend some time here investigating how this works. One thing I just noticed, is that if you hover over the "8 days ago" or "9 minutes ago" timestamp near your name you will get the actual post time displayed in your local time zone. This may be helpful for sorting posts.

I started this post from the reply button at the top. I expect it to land at the bottom as a new unthreaded topic within the main topic, Oh! You're here.

As part of my testing I'm trying out the link button from the toolbar to see what it does for me.
