In forests/woods in our region you can find these old signs at the various crossings/intersections.

    Canon EOS 5D mark IV
Canon EF 80-200 f2.8L (aka the Magic drainpipe)

Do like to use some of the older EF (L) lenses we own. These older lenses still can deliver nice photos on the newer cameras

Nice shot! I loved the old drainpipe. It has a different rendering than the newer 70-200 varieties, and I like it. For portrait work I'd say I prefer the ol' pipe. I think it was down to lower contrast; giving a slightly 'dreamier' look while still being incredibly sharp. I upgraded years ago when my kids started playing sports and wanted faster AF and teleconverter options. Better image quality was not on my list of reasons for the update, as the drainpipe was great.

The Drainpipe does have something that some newer lenses lack I would like to say "character"
Don't use very much got the 70-200 F2.8L II also and that has way better weather sealing and does focus a lot faster but it lacks that "Character"

Have you tried the EF200mm f/2.8L It also has a character that I am quite addicted to.

That is the one I have as well. Do you find it similar in rendering to the 80-200?
