    These cameras have a bigger grip than my C-7070 at least.

    1996 was when I finished grade 5 and started grade 6. My computer had Intel 486 100Mhz and DOS 6. I was still using 1.4MB floppy disks so 6MB internal storage for a camera seems like lot for that time. My monitor was probably still 15 inch 640x480px, so 1024x768px sensor is not bad either.

    In September 1996, Olympus was the first to offer a compact with a definition of 1024x768
    But caught up quickly by Fujifilm in April 97 with its DS-300 of 1280x1000
    The first compact with over a million pixels …
