I continue to dip my toes into this forum and seem to be up to my ankles now. This is a continuation to test the ease and getting familiar with navigating around this forum .. This is a re post of a response I made over in the Original DPR but then a few of you may not have seen or read that response
Street photography!!... let me pour us a couple large cups of coffee … Street photography with people I divide into two categories – street portraiture, Robin Wong does this a lot. where the subject is totally aware of her/his participation and candid where the we try to capture the the natural actions around us without participating … I have had uncomfortable encounters a couple memorable times – surprisingly the two I remember were in my neighborhood and while I was not taking pictures but just carrying a camera!!! Sometimes, like the uni-cyclist, my subject is aware of my taking the shot,
sometimes they might suspect that they're on camera and maybe not pleased ….
or maybe just suspicious ..
or just don't have time to confront me ….
But generally , like the fellow leaning against the lamp post,
I remain largely invisible … or inconsequential . …. Also my age may play a role but I prefer not to think that … I enjoy these walks but then age does play a role and I suspect I'll spend more time in the near future-- sitting waiting for doctor to see me – than on these walks along the street .. Aging is an adventure …
Well this was on the desk top and ready to post so ....
