My Daughter gave me an orchid this past Christmas and I have managed to keep it alive! Still trying to find best way to post images here. I saved them at a lower quality which reduced the file sizes. Are they ok?
The quality looks good to me, even when expanding the image to see the full resolution (yes I'm a pixel peeper).
On a side note, my orchids usually get aphids/plant lice over the winter - I admire how you managed to keep them away!!
Looks fine at full size (2592x3872 px) even compressed to 438KB. I know I tend to use minimal compression when saving a jpeg in Photoshop, but you don't lose much detail with a lot more compression. One factor to keep in mind is that you can get away with a lot of compression if there are no large areas with lots of detail - this black background is what makes the compression in this shot work so well since you have large contiguous areas of uniform tonality.
Ha Ha! That one would be hard to kill Paul. The quality looks good to me. Like you I am still experimenting but without much luck. I am limited by iPad photos I think. Will keep experimenting as I quite like this place.
