Today we had a lovely day out and I used both lenses. I always really liked my original but the PD is definitely sharper. I rarely use the original, frightened it breaks! Silly I know.

I'm exactly the same, very rarely use the original 10-30 for fear of the dreaded aperture fail, but the 10-30 PD is a great lens indeed! Needn't worry with MYDC out there though :) My 30-110 has never been better since it had the fix :D But I do have a fear of all the other lenses failing at the same time. I did manage to get quite a few of my N1 glass second hand at much lower prices than they originally retailed for so I always rationalise that if they need the fix it still won't cost as much as some of those lenses would have cost original price :)

Testing a response, I have been having issues.

I have multiple copies of both versions - they often come with a body when purchased off eBay. I prefer using the PD version and keep one mounted on a J5 for quick action. But I've also got a non PD 10-30 mounted on a V1 near the computer for quick access as well. I haven't done a one-to-one comparison to check IQ but I haven't noticed any issues with the results.
