I have the FZ330, so I know a bit about Panasonic, but a friend wants me to help her with a GH5.

E.G. maybe something like iA Plus on FZ330, which does most things automatically but allows adjusting exposure, flash, etc??

    Any simple suggestions please?

    Mike

Am very certain the GH5 does have iA mode on the mode dial, this goes for just about every Lumix camera,

Pop it into aperture mode, set the ISO to auto, and fire away. The larger the aperture number, the larger the amount in focus, the smaller the aperture number, the less is in focus. Choose a one of the single point AF points so you can move it around, and you decide what's in focus. Not the camera.
Set iDynamic to standard, choose a JPEG style that pleases you, and you're away
