Pentax 645D

My Pentax MF, facing three versions of FF, APS-H, and APS-C
The primary reason for the interest in this MF is its 40MP CCD sensor from Kodak, which I particularly appreciate.
These comparisons are first and foremost for my own personal enjoyment. “Curiosity”
I'm sharing them here, some of you might be interested.
Here I illustrate just one example from each comparison, which usually contains around twenty.

Superb comparisons. CCD has a different take on color. Always notice it using the Pentax K10D. For that matter, so do Sigma Foveon cameras. Sometimes my Sigma Merrill DP1 just nails an image. Lot of times it doesn't. Pentax 645D/Z is much more consistent for me.

That Kodak is huge! Remember seeing a Canon EOS1*** sitting next to a Pentax 67. There was hardly any difference in height.

My Kodak 760 sitting next to my Pentax 6x7 MLU

Easier to see if I lay the Kodak on its side:

I carried that Kodak from 2003 to 2018. It wound up retired to a copy stand. And my 520c is on a Leica microscope still.i don't use the 6x7 at all any more.

That is much larger than the Canon EOS I saw. The Canon was a newer design than your Kodak. Is the Kodak a lot heavier than the Pentax 67?

Hi,

The Kodaks based on the EOS1n are larger than the film camera they used. Some extra below and behind just like they did with Nikon. They are a bit nicer industrial design. And the Kodak 500 series are the same mid to late 90s era as the 600 series. The 700 series is newer, post Nikon D1, and a bit different internally but no different externally.

I'll see about dismounting my 520c off the Scope and taking a pic next to the P6x7.

Without finding a scale, they 760c is about the same weight as the P6x7. And, yes. The Kodaks were all large and heavy.
