Nah -- being there instead of being here would make the author even more happy. 😎 By the way, the photo was taken near the bottom of the Yatsugatake mountains in Japan. I've never summited in winter, but I'm thinking of doing it next winter:
My wife found a guide last winter, and I'm thinking of hitting him up when I go this winter. Anyway, apologies for the distraction in this thread.
