In Italy, photography in public monuments was banned until quite recently. But thanks to a few morons will cell phones, things are not looking good again.
Members of the Instagraming sheeple have recently damaged a painting in the Uffizi, and wrecked a sculpture in Verona.
I have found a link in English that explains what is happening.
The Director of the Uffizi, is making dark comments about photography in the gallery. I hope this is not going to set a trend, that makes photography in public monuments and museums impossible again, thanks to the cretins who visit cultural places, just to post stuff on bucket list obsessed social media, rather than experience the artistic magic.
