This picture brings back memories. I wonder how long that entrance to Piccadilly tube station has been in use. I am sure it was already old when I first saw it in 1957.

The other thing that I notice is the advert for Hugo Boss. To be advertised in Piccadilly Circus, this German clothier with a checkered history has certainly worked hard to achieve the recognition that it would not have had during the early years of this staircase.

I must say I never liked Boss. It is a cheesy brand for me. I hope I'm not offending any one with my comment :)

I buy Boss polo shirts - £5 each from a market stall in Turkey. "Genuine Fakes" they are called. Excellent value 😁

You know, it's such a "simple" photo, but there's so much going on. I wish I had the education and vocabulary to explain it, but I don't, so I'll just say that I like it a lot!

Just spotted this shot. Usually I don't stray too much from the Wed Weekly C&C thread as it takes up a fair bit of my time and I have another life to live.
This is wonderful. A knockout street shot. Please post it to the Wed Weekly C&C where you will get plenty of analysis and the acknowledgement the shot deserves.
I'd print this large on a quality paper and put it on a wall.
