    Alright all you Sigma Shooters:
With the demise of Dpreview as of April 10th, let's move our weekly thread highlighting images made with Sigma Cameras and lenses to this new forum (DPRivived). Try to limit your post to 3 images and please give you post a title so the comments will be properly directed.

    Cheers,
    larryj

I don't think we can do that, Larry, and there is no threaded list option here (yet). so the only thing we can do is put a caption in the reply body preferably above the image so as to not run afoul of stupid Flickr BBCode ..,

    Image caption

Thanks for posting that Ted. I did do that in my last 2 posts, but did not explain to others what to do. ;>)

something strange in our country backyard, Torii gate plus rocks which seem 'archaeological' (they are not) DP2Merrill, shot Thursday, April 6, full EXIF and sizing options on my flickr link (under name of Sandy Fleischmann) along with several additional photos

Nice ... I like those gates.

Pity how the BBCode comes out on my desktop computer:

Well, it seemed a good idea at the time ... but someone has just posted an image with some Flickr BBcode above the image, see:

    Ho hum ...

    Impact!

I thought my first contribution to this new thread should have a bit of a bang, so these are 2 versions of one of my 'hidden color' series. Each image is a single exposure of something in the natural world, and I can run the process multiple times on every image. Each run through increases the fine texture but decreases the overall structure. This first is 2 passes thru the processing, and the next is the same image with 3 passes thu:

Thank you for the kind words larryj. Yes, lets see how many people join here to keep the photo sharing and discussion about Sigma cameras and lenses technology alive and kicking!

Do you also intend to start the monthly B&W thread? It will be nice if you do!

Regards and best wishes to you.
