"x530", not 503 - thanks! - I've duly edited it in the OP.

I decided to edit off names. SF

Edited: those photos are part of a larger 'album' on Flickr. The amusing ones are at dinner, everyone is looking at cameras and EXIF. There are other x530 albums on my Flickr pages too. I was primarily shooting my SD10. Occasional photos (like the one of me) were taken by my husband with the x530.
I found the subtle sand colors in DV were wickedly hard to edit to true remembered color in the SPP of the era.

I posted a DP3M focus stack of an intriguing clamshell in the wildlife and nature forum; to zero response. Well, I thought it was intriguing.

Here's a quick snap of both halves of the shell. (Sorry for the non-Sigma camera, but Sigma 56mm lens.) This mollusk stays attached to the same rock all its life, and the bottom half of the shell (shown on top here) was formed to match the anchoring rock,

I've been playing with a new (for me) discovery - G'MIC fancy filters plug-in for the GIMP.

    This one's from GIMP>Filters>G'MIC-Qt>Artistic>Sketch

A lot of work for no response, eh?

Per the other place, Sigma lens shots are perfectly OK, David.

I'm still working on processing Japan trip 2017 photos, both Sigma DP2Merrill as well as Canon 5DIi. Only a fraction of photos taken and now processed are going online. I tend to gravitate to stone lanterns, temples, shrines, and castles as well as greenery. Here's a bit of both castle and greenery at Nijo castle in Kyoto
