Last evening I noticed the chickadees frequenting our bird house, so with them going repeatedly to the same location, I decided to give ProCapture a try.

I like the pose, but wish the sun had been shining on it.
So today I sat around the yard for a couple hours, but the chickadees didn't come to the bird house.
I did catch one sitting on a structure in our garden and got a couple decent shots of it taking off.

Also got a shot of a Yellow Bellied Warbler that was wandering around our lawn as it took off.

Unfortunately, the birds seem to get scarce when I go out in the yard, and those I do see are usually towards the sun so I'm often shooting their shaded side.
    Oh well, I'll keep trying.

You need to sit very still and drink your coffee with a long straw Jim! I am only on my phone now but the images look good. I have become relatively immobile from back pain. This flared up after bending over for a couple of hours assembling a tow behind spreader. I should have known better!

Not sure I understand that - but I guess you want me to relax.

Thanks Andrew. I'm pretty happy with them. I'd just like more opportunities.

Sorry to hear you are in pain. Hope you can find relief.

The long straw is you do not have to move to drink the coffee Jim! That will make the birds ignore you!

Great pictures, Jim. Pro capture has got me lots of pictures I would not have got without it.

Insofar as Andrew's advice about the coffee through the straw, well, I guess he did take that Oxy. 😵 Rich

Very nice series. ProCapture is so useful for understanding how birds take off. It is a unique experience.
