    Hi,

The image I posted (in the Landscape and Travel forum) is not showing up as a clickable photo in my post.
    Am I doing something wrong?

I found that if I uploaded a file I had to click an icon looking like two overlapping rectangles within a file uploaded panel that appeared in order to insert code that would ultimately add a downsized copy of the photo to the posting.

Could anyone please explain in detail how I can post an image?
Is there a file size limit?
    Thanks in advance.

Click on the up-arrow icon in the toolbar above the field you write your post in.

    att.jpg

The usual dialog will open and you can choose your picture. This will give you a thumbnail at the bottom your post. The thumbnail can be clicked to show the full image. You will see it as the filename and two icons before you have submitted your post.

If you also want a larger image in the post, you click the icon that looks like a square to the right of the filename. Then a code as you can see in the above screen cap will be inserted in your post where the cursor is. You can move that code around in case you want the picture somewhere else. If you instead click on the X icon the attached image will be removed.

Thanks so much for a brilliant tutorial. Do you mind if I promote it to where everyone will see it?

No, of course not. You are welcome to it. Maybe add that the X icon removes the attachment. I can add it above BTW.

    Hello,

In your message, select an image from your computer with the arrow (top right).
Then click the little square (bottom left) next to the x.
You will see a code appear.
Click preview and you can see if it worked.

Thank you guys for your help, much appreciated.
I tried and got an error message because the file is larger than 4 MB.
    I tried via smartphone (Android).
Is there a file size limit?
Is there any issue with Android?
    Thanks again for the patience.

P.s. I'm doing my best spreading the news on DPReview.

Thanks. Just to check other people's experience.
Another question: I marked "half star" as my default notification. Where do I see the notification?

Not here yet, but in-forum notifications list is coming in next feature release. ;)

I'm beginning to slowly learn how things work here. If you choose Threads in the top menu OR go into a certain section, for example Migration, new buttons show up. The rightmost one defaults to "All threads". But if you click it that can be changed to for example "Subscribed threads". It's quite handy!

There are also lists of threads you have started and posts you have made in your profile.

Any way to get the EXIF data to show up when hovering?

Not yet. Unless there is a browser extension. There used to be, don't know about now.
