If I was you, you should really learn about color spaces and how they impact what your raw converter is showing you

You first have to tell me what is a correct WB? and how is it important?

i prefer to take natural coloured images ,not like you are looking through rose coloured glasses. they went out with the hippies 😁

Your white balance can be off because you calibrate your monitor by your eyes and you don't profile your monitors.

If you asked 10 people to calibrate your monitors by their eyes you most likely would end up with 10 different monitor settings.

Calibrating by eye is a poor man's way of doing it.

I calibrated the image with ACR and you can with PS using nutralize, its not bad but can be out sometimes.

with the smearing and over processing and blotchy ness

No they just know that it is processing that created that kind of punch and to them it was a fad just like tone mapping was to landscape photography

No but they do know what natural looking insects appear like and that detail is anything but real, and they are not interested in eye candy that many try and post
When stacking is done nicely they can look good but the over sharpening and processing is what they don't like, and I kind of agree with them on that

Getting back on track, if you really need to know what a histogram shows you I would recommend Andrew Rodney about what a histogram is
But then again I would feel he has no time for your games
