Standing and walking are difficult for me now because of pain so I have not been shooting much. I shot these the other evening after mowing and picking up branches for a couple of hours.

The last three are in camera stacks. There was wind. They are not without issues. If I get around to it I will try stacking raws in Affinity.

I guess the TENS therapy isn't working on your back, Andrew. I am sorry. I was hoping it would help.

Your pictures look great. The stacks look good to me. I especially like the light on the daffodil. The dark tulip is also lovely, but at first I thought it was an orchid until I got focused on it.

I had a good enough night's sleep on Friday that I went out for flowers and focus stacking yesterday. I went to Gill's Garden and the wind was gusting. I tried to get stacks between gusts but that can be very frustrating, and it was, so I changed to single pictures. Drat! Then I went to the inland part of Eureka at Sequoia Park to try to get away from the wind. Nope, the wind was gusting there, too. I got a good stack on this iris which was sheltered behind the wishing well. Bending slightly at the waist, or more than slightly, makes my back hurt, and if I do that enough, the pain doesn't quit when I straighten up. I have a folding three leg photographer's stool for when my back is bad. I will have to start using it more this year. This stool is very light and folds up with a strap to hold it folded in its carry pouch. It is extra futzing around, but if I get my back hurting by bending I can't concentrate on culling pictures when I get home.

Note: the Walkstool is made in Sweden but if you leave it in the sun the smell of rotten herring wears off quickly. 🤢

    There are several models. Rich

I like your tulips, effective with the back background .... Take care and be careful with that back, they're no fun when they're in pain ... and can be quite debilitating. ... hope you're better soon ...

    Thanks Rich.

Your iris is very nice. I thought our early ones would be up by now but not yet.

When I read reviews on tens machines some claimed they worked almost immediately while others said it took up to three weeks. I won't write it off yet. At physiotherapy that is about the extent of what they did for me except for some light massage that I found ineffective. I did seem to make some progress while there but that could also just have been the passage of time. The machine and extra pads came in at $70 CAD plus taxes. I figured if it helped it was worth it. I see my GP this week, Thursday. I want him to order some imaging and also I need some strong pain relief medication so I can sleep. During the day time I don't use it because then I would not be able to do anything. It would be sleep 24/7! Also, I would get divorced for being 'ugly'! (behaviour, not looks!)

    Thanks WN.

They did the server migration today. I can no longer sign in with Microsoft Edge. I can with Chrome and on my phone, so far anyway!

All good Andrew but the red tulip is a real winner
