Yet another refugee. I haunt both the Sony Cyber-Talk forum and the Panasonic forum. I spent many years enjoying Panasonic cameras but then in a moment of rapture, I went over to the dark side. I still enjoy playing with my Panasonic ZS19, but my main shooter is a Sony RX10iv.
I am a retired electrical engineer. I spent 30 years at IBM in product development and 13 years at Scott Safety designing thermal imaging cameras so firemen can see through smoke. I live in South Carolina, 3 miles from the city limits of Charlotte, North Carolina.
I was a DPR member since 2011. I am very sorry to see it fold. I met so many great folks on it. Hopefully, they will migrate over here.

DPR was my only forum / social media site. I have been a reader for 20+ years but a member posting for past 8+ years.

I joined DPReview in December 2008. I think I was either looking for a camera or already had the ZS-15. I haven't been around in a couple years, very, very busy, so when I saw the mention of it shutting down on FB I thought I'd better go see what was going on . Very sad to see this happen. I hope we can turn this place into something useful. I was buzzsolo there so I will be that here. Becky
