If you ask the engineers at Sony I can guarantee you 100% they will tell you the camera's histogram is not a raw histogram 🤣😎

they arnt comming out with a raw histogram because they already have it. or its been specifically designed to replicate it.
keep digging mate . when some one comes up with what ive already witnessed you will kick yourself. but maybe not because you cant prove it you dont own the a74 😁

With what white balance being used?
With what processing being done by the cameras raw conversion in camera ?
Change one or two of those things and your histogram will change, if it changes how can that represent raw data?

Ian gave the biggest hint but didnt realise it ,again because he doesnt own the a74. tomorrow im going to put the a6300 up to the same test.

You're now making things up as you go along because earlier you made an unconditional statement saying your camera's histogram is a raw histogram and now you are saying that maybe it's a replica of a raw histogram.

Why not pick a story and stick to it? Chopping and changing like you are makes you look foolish and stupid.

The camera's histogram will vary according to the colour space selected in the camera, the WB setting in the camera etc.

You're running away from Ian's questions again because you have stupidly backed yourself into a corner again.

    Yep, still running away 😂😂😂😎

For a given scene lighting, if you change the WB setting or the colour space in your camera your Sony histogram, like every other camera manufacturer's histogram, will vary 🤣🤣

Im going to PM you you can reply back on here only saying its plausible or its not plausible.

So now you are changing again by saying your camera's histogram being a raw histogram might or might not be plausible 🤣

Pick a story and at least try to stick with it instead of changing your story every time a version of it is shot down 😂😂😎

Im not worried about WB auto is as close as you can get for a camera to be a reliable light meter.

In what kind of light. you do realize that the red and blue channels can be multiplied by more than a stop without you even knowing it,
A very simple test take a shot of a WB target in direct sunlight your red channel is only receiving 1/2 the amount of light as the green channel so how can that be a reliable meter. There is your problem
Ya my speedometer is only 1/2 as accurate when I go to the east but going west it is all good officer.
