I was testing out the af-s 16-35mm f4g ed vr lens on my Z7 this morning. I will say it does not have any hotspot issues but the edge sharpness is pretty dreadful. I'll be moving on to the Z 14-30mm f4 lens.

Regardless, I was able to shoot this panorama at 24mm and it came out pretty good.
    590nm.

Same file, two treatments. Full spectrum conversion, shot with a 550nm filter. As a side note, I think the conversion has made it easier to see the phase detect pattern when I shoot 😅 So far it's been manageable but I do notice an odd pattern showing up which is probably attributable to the PD setup.

This is processed only in Lightroom. It's a mostly a "correct" white balance (i.e. balancing on foliage) with a global Color Grading push to blue for more separation and some other adjustments. I usually like to keep my skies blue but this is growing on me.

    230625-ReferenceIR-031.jpg

The same file brought into Photoshop for a hue shift to get the sky blue.

    230625-ReferenceIR-031-Edit.jpg

I keep going back and forth on which I prefer.

I’ve been tempted to do a Warhol-esque panel of four different treatments on one canvas and see how that looks printed big.

Photobombed! Full spectrum conversion with blue/IR filter, processed in Lightroom (plus Photoshop hackery to remove the leash on the doggo).

    The end of our street

    SD1 FS

Can you give us some details on this shot? Filter used, and processing? I like the end result!

    Sorry, I missed your question!

Sigma SD1 with the removable UV/IR blocker out, Probably the 17-50mm zoom. No filter on the lens, so full-spectrum shot.

Converted to RGB by RawDigger and then messed with in RawTherapee; didn't save the PP3 sidecar file and don't remember what I did, sorry. Might have WB'd on the light gray transformer.

Silly question, was this during the fall of the year, with fall colors? No filter, messing with WB, and it looks like fall.....

No, the foliage was all green. I was aiming at the Aerochrome look ...

I've captured some more full spectrum images to see if I can get to these colours. So far, no luck- I strongly suspect the Bayer response is different enough from the Foveon that it'll be a challenge. Still, it's inspiration to try new things!

I went walking around a nearby town photographing some of the buildings. I liked both of these shots in 590nm without the color swap because of the blue color, especially the second one where the blue signage stands out.

I've got a converted** Panasonic Lumix G1 and took a few test shots with green foliage included. I use the GIMP, RawTherapee and RawDigger. I'll have a play sometime and see what I can do ...

** the UV/IR blocker was removed but the RGB CFA was left in place.

And now for something completely different...

    230729-Friends-005.jpg

Full spectrum conversion and capture- this has white balance and minor detail adjustments in Lightroom but is otherwise straight out of camera. I was planning to shoot visible light but had forgotten my IR cut filter so tried it out full spectrum. The colour palette works better than I'd expected.

    Anyone else still here? 😅

I'm still here ... my so-called "full-spectrum" G1 had the CFA left in place. My first test shot was with very little incident IR and looked very little different to a normal shot. Looks like the CFA is still in place on your camera too.
