    Dunlin,

I'm also going to write down the EXIF data separately for a while. I'll have to play around with my MS Word VBA program a little more. I had a programming bug in it and I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden it wasn't working as expected for multiple images.

    Dunlin,

I don't know if they have fixed it, but a little while ago, if you used the dark background, you could not read the text in Previews.

I also have some flowers inside a greenhouse, so higher ISO, on flickr Hopefully I will take some broader landscapes today, trying out this new lens. Possible substitute for 24-105mm for travel

    Hi stevet1, Thank You.

First time I've seen them close and entwined like that. :-)

    Mocha,

That's a good eye to catch the locking branches. In Oregon we have an Octopus tree that has long sweeping branches (along the coast near Cape Meares). They don't lock, but they are odd, like octopus legs with some imagination. Yes, the flowers look strange, but I like the bright purple color. That's neat you were able to find it. The birds must be "escapees". I wonder if they escaped from domestication. I enjoyed seeing your pictures.

    Hi Digirame, Thank You.

The tree is a strange one, that's for sure. I've not ID'd those Wildflowers yet. You could be right with the birds being escapees. Seeing two rare birds in one place is strange indeed.

    That is an interesting tree.

    Hi Dunlin, Thank You.

The tree's entwined like that is not supposed to happen in nature so interesting indeed.

    Subject: Tulips

The tulips are late this year due to our late wet and cold spring. Here's a couple pictures of one tulip that I found during cloudy weather.

    Hi Digirame,

The Tulip look great, ours in the NW are only just showing now also.

Here's also a couple pictures of a black bird, also taken during cloudy weather.

    Hi Digirame,

Your Blackbirds are similar to ours only for the red markings on their wings. Love the second photo.

The bluebells are (mostly) out here in SE England.

    Hi Dunlin,

Love your Bluebells, ours are a little behind at the moment. I think I need to revisit Bluebell wood again. :-)

    Dunlin,

I just love seeing the Bluebell flowers. Do you have any of them with a wide angle view, where you show them growing together in a field? Like can we see a carpet of blue colors?

    Hi Digirame,
    Thanks.
No, not yet. There's a local woods with that sort of display that I need to visit in the next couple of days.
Anyhow, for now, I took this today:

    Sandy,

It's good to see your flowers. I hope you new lens works out well for you. For pictures of flowers I often choose the longer focal lengths. For one reason my shadow doesn't interfere with the image. I was taking pictures of tulips today in bright sunlight. Finally they are starting to bloom with the warmer weather.

    Mocha,

Thanks for the comments about the tulips and the black bird. I hope to get a lot more pictures of tulips. This week we finally are getting some sunshine and they are starting to open up.

I like those tulips. I'll be finding more of them too. Hopefully within a week I'll have a whole lot of them, ready to post.

Thanks for sharing with us your Bluebell flowers with a wide angle view. Today I found some blue flowers, but they are a little different.

    Subject: Programming Bug

I don't know if any of you are interested, but I found the programming bug in my EXIF data MS Word VBA program. I forgot that the name of one of my cameras is the Canon 800D instead of Canon T7i, so when I was running the program with the 800D name, it ignored it. The program was only following instructions and just did what I told it to do.

Also instead of running the code from within the programming module, I now created a custom menu, thanks to some code help from VBAExpress on the internet. The custom menu allows for me to show a form I developed. On this form it can do two things. It can run the program and can move down to the bottom were the results are shown. Oh...if you want to use a form, make the form vbModeless. Forms are useful in that it allows us to use it for other things that we might want later.

This is normal during programming development to constantly make corrections and improvements during the early stages. At least I figured it out about the Canon 800D name. It was driving me crazy a little, for I couldn't understand why the program worked perfectly for a while and then all of a sudden it did not.
