I know about Canon's own excellent 32 f1.4 but that is more than I want to spend on a EF-M lens. The Sigma is around $240 on the used market and Viltrox $280 new. I was dead set on the Sigma but after seeing @LarryRexley post on the Viltrox 23mm, it has me undecided. I really like the rendering of the Viltrox in his shots.

I do not own the Viltrox but my copy of the Sigma is outstanding.

Most images I see from the Viltrox lenses have some halation / glow on high contrast edges - this is absent in the canon 32mm and I think well controlled in the sigma (it is in the 16mm and 56mm copies anyway).

I would go with Sigma because I (and others) have great experience with their 56mm lens.
I am not sure about Viltrox's performance.

No offense, but Larry would have also reported favorable about the Sigma lens if he had bought it instead of the Viltrox.
It is reported that the AF performance of the Sigma is even faster than the Canon EF-M 32mm lens.
