Anybody has had the chance to test both lenses and come to a conclusion on which one would be best?
There are some minor differences in the focal length and prices are similar.

Sigma will be easier to get serviced if needed. Viltrox requires you send it back to the company in China. Sigma has a worldwide repair network

Which lenses are we talking about? Sigma just announced three lenses for the Z DX cameras (16, 30, 56), whereas Viltrox appears to offer a 23, 33 and 56. All of these lenses open up to f/1.4, which is nice.

I believe Sigma has Nikon's blessing to release lenses for the Z mount, wheras Viltrox currently does not. Having said that, I purchased a Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 FX lens without hesitation when it first came out, and it has performed flawlessly for me ever since. So it may come down to which focal length you prefer. If I had a Z50 the Viltrox 23 would appeal to me because of its 35mm FX equivalence, but obviously that's a personal preference.

There also is a Viltrox 13mm f/1.4, rather big and heavy (90mm long and 455g heavy) like the Sigma 16mm. but that is a 20mm equivalent!

Sigma is an extremely high end lens manufacturer with nearly all parts made in house, in Japan. Every single lens goes through an extensive quality control process. Sigma lenses do not leave the factory unless they show to be optically exceptional during QC.

I know next to nothing about the history of Viltrox, but can say for sure that Sigma is as good as it gets.

I've used the Viltrox 23, 33 & 56mm lenses when I had my Zfc. They work great, have a nice rendering, and are well made. The only "downside" is the clickless aperture rings, but at least they have aperture rings, unlike the Sigma APS-C lenses.
