I think there is a lot of value in having a main gallery forum, but people like posting in their brand forums/communities. Something you could do is mirror photo posts to the main gallery section

I'm not sure if that's possible in the current structure. It might also confused people who thing there's two posts when there's only one. And if they reply in the main one, does the reply also appear in the brand one?
We already have 'Samples and Galleries' in the photo discussion area. This could be used for any brand/no brand discussions.

I like the concept, but it brings forth its own challenges. How to handle images that the maker doesn’t want to share site wide?
FWIW, my cross-posting workaround was to paste the image URL from a brand gallery post into the appropriate section of the site’s general collection. This doesn’t do anything to encourage cross-posting, but does provide a low effort means of doing so.
