We've had storm after storm in the last 3 months. The brief clearings between have given some great skies. Here are a few recent ones.

9 panel pano about a 180° pan. Woodley Island Marina looking SSW OM1 mz 12-100, 12mm

The Sun circles are not uncommon here, but rarely a full, perfect one. I could not see it all with naked eye. The camera could see it all and I could with dark sunglesses. om1 mz 8-25, 8mm

6 vertical panel panorama looking over the deserted Hawklands from Singley Hill. om1 mz 12-100, 12mm

Same place as above, different day. om1, mz 8-25, 16mm

    Another one from Gill's garden. om1 mz 8-25, 8mm

Scenic Drive along Trinidad Bay looking south. It's the old stagecoach road, the original Pacific Coast Highway. You can see Humboldt Bay through the hole in the trees, about 25 miles south. It is one of the best places for photography around here. The Pacific keeps taking bites out of it and the state fixes it back up, as best they can. The northern stretch was closed by a storm a few years ago and never reopened. I didn't think, back 50 years ago, that it would last through my lifetime. It looks like the southern stretch will. om1 mz 8-25, 8mm

Part of a Sun circle looking SW from up on Table Bluff. om1, mz 8-25, 10mm, 1/32000, f/5

Fantastic skies Rich. I'm so jealous. At the moment I've got loads of rain falling out of a very dark sky.☹️

Thanks, Dave. It has been a very rainy Winter here, too. I watch the satellite pictures for a break and dash out to get those skies. We're supposed to get three days of "mostly sunny" weather starting Thursday. When they forecast that, I know they aren't sure, but are as sick of rain as I am. I hope you get some very sunny days, too....not mostly sunny. Slainte. Rich

Great skies Rich - the second from the last has the best foreground for me.

A nice looking set Rich. I have not seen any dramatic skies around here in a while. Overcast or sunny but no drama. I like sunny!

The panos are really nice. The images imbedded in posts here do not look all that great, unfortunately. That means you have to click on them and see the entire image as uploaded. Good detail there but if the image is larger than the screen area you don't see the entire thing at once. Ok for pixel peeping but not so good for enjoying the image. I think the answer for that is for me to get a 4 k monitor!!!!! I want one anyway!

Sunny and warm here for the next three days according to the forecast! Looking forward to it!

    Andrew

Nice skies and panos, Rich …. Good cloud photography … I always regret that I didn't take pictures of the isolated Cumulonimbus clouds over the plains east of mountains ...

That's impressive Rich. They don't look all that until you click on and get the full beast...Very envious of the weather

Thanks, Andrew. Sunny and breezy here today. A north wind so only about 50°. Hawks gone, flowers not going yet, and enough skies already. I may spend the day on PP. Pity.

Yeah, I need a mew monitor, too. My eyes will appreciate it. Rich

Thanks, WhyNot. A long time ago, traveling East in Eastern Colorado, I saw a line of those clouds in the distance. I got into Kansas and they got closer. I saw a Kansas State Trooper parked and stopped to ask him about that. He said, "Hell, I wouldn't like to drive into that in this big sedan. Lost of lightning, wind, and rain. You'd be nuts to go into that on that motorcycle." I turned right, went to San Antonio, and gained ten pounds. Rich

Thanks, Rich. It has been a long, rainy, and dreary Winter. This nice weather is just in time. Rich
