Yesterday's sighting was my first encounter with this one. The blue/green body caught my eye and I didn't notice the yellow until I saw it in the viewfinder. Can't say I even noticed it when it flew off...

I can't avoid the backlight in the afternoon now the sun is higher - short of building some sort of ramp out into the dam to get behind them... So it's spot metering and hope for the best...

The spheres are fabulous. Like the way the oof ones transform into a totally different look than normal. The bright edge bokeh is cool. Please consider cross posting this in the Weekly Abstract and Creativity Thread. It fits perfectly.
