These Horseflies (we call them March flies - I don't know why) are the bane of my dog and my existence atm...

Around here they are also called March flies, because they usually appear in spring, and I suppose European settlers carried that name there. Maybe you should call them September flies 😀

We should call them Sept-to-May flies as they will be around that long...
