    Bibio hortulanus.
    This is a female, because the male is completely black, a little smaller and with huge eyes...

    A good capture, with good light, color and detail, with the focus on the eye. These are usually very restless, and are out of my reach unless I find them asleep...

    You have this crab spider a little higher up. It's curious how you can find them on the same flower day after day...

    I found a cousin of your grasshopper the other day... I think he is actually a locust

    Like the composition on this. The vertical petals make a very dynamic image. It almost looks like she is trapped behind bars.

    Fantastic image. Very clean composition. Interesting about finding them on the same flower. Dragonflies definitely do that. They make a quick trip right back to their same perch.

    They claim bug populations are in decline. Have you found this to be true?

    Tricky conditions, with that mix of sun and shade, but the result is very good, with a very natural color and a good level of detail...
