    I am not sure who these tiny bugs are on the periwinkle, but they were well color-coordinated.

    I thought I recognised the snout so had to look them up. Google says weevils and it looks like one of a group called True Weevils.

    I think it might be interesting to reduce the warm cast of the lighting to recover the natural colors of the subject...

    I'm not sure. The green one seemed to have lassoed the brown one with a few strands when I last saw them but I didn't see either become dinner.

    Neat capture. The colors are spectacular and the fighting insects are very dramatic. An unusual capture image that is very enjoyable to view.

    This isn't my first attempt at capturing a rainbow of colours in a spider web. It never seems to pass expectations. Maybe there are some techniques I am unaware of. A larger depth of field would help and focus always seems a touch off (but that may just be the excess of reflected light). I am not sure how a filter would help to reduce the blown web elements, or how that would compare with some (-)ve EC.
