This is another one that works very well. The fact that there are several overlapping layers favors the 3D effect…

Love the 3D - great image for that. I suppose with your setup you can even catch some hoverflies in flight. Certainly a neat possibility.

The subject of "hoverflies in flight" is very difficult for 3D, because they have to be photographed at a certain distance and with my dual-lens macro system I would not be able to get close to them at the necessary distance because they are very easily spooked.
Maybe if I could manage to make a camouflage system for the camera together with the optical system, which would not scare the insects from a short distance, and which would be all mounted on an articulated arm and controlled remotely. It's too much trouble for just a few pictures.😀

I don't always try and view these because my eyes feel a bit strained afterwards. Today I looked at the last three sets and I love the apparent depth they create.

I agree. The perception of depth in the image is very good and being able to look around and explore different parts of the scene as if real is fascinating.

Is the process one of taking two images from a slightly different viewpoint?

Yes, this is how 3D images are obtained.

Probably because the topic is not about insects/flowers.😀

    Alien on Earth

This was difficult to achieve in 3D (I previously posted it in the normal 2D version), only in 3D does it have the desired value.
