Here are a few of my film cameras. I acquired the two t series Canons from my parents when they moved into their new house and were cleaning out some old stuff. My mother still has a Canon Rebel XT that I am trying to find now. The Practika was given to me by a friend who's son bowls in my son's special Olympics league. It is in like new condition and it's built like a tank. The kodak 400 is my first roll of film put through the T50.

Stop immediately, while there's still time 😱
Otherwise, you'll end up like me with over 1,000 cameras. 😂
    👍🏻

Ha ha. I know right. If you ever want to thin the herd, and want them to goto a place where they will be loved just as much if not more, you know where to find me! 😁

I was showing my wife some of your images from around Montreal, and one of your figurines has a striking body resemblance to hers as well. 😉

I hope the next time we get up we can meet somewhere for a coffee and "shoot" the poop.

Oh, I just loaded a roll of Portra 400 into the Practika. I am going to drag the wife out this weekend and see how portraits work with it. I think this camera is going to be a winner.

1000 cameras???? You must buy many every year. Do you keep a record? and where do you store them all?

My first SLR at over 50 years ago was Praktica Super TL with the same Domiplan 2.8/50mm. It was a good lens and it focused extremely close as a non-macro lens. Was the nearest focus at 33cm? This L and its cousin LTL models were cameras I did look, but too expensive for me at that time.

Let's just say it takes up a lot of space, I lack space for exhibits 😕

    Hence my virtual museum 😇

Mine was a Russian Zenit 3m with the 50mm f/3.5 Industar lens. I paid £21 for it (new) and the shop threw in a 24 exposure roll of Kodachrome as well. A Soligor exposure meter made the total bill £25. The Zenit was a step below the Prakticas (the Nova) which I couldn’t afford. I think this was1968. Since then, I’ve collected a hundred or so film cameras in the early years of the millennium when they weren’t valued at all, but I’m in awe of @Maoby’s collection!

Edit - an online calculator says that would be £456 at today’s prices!

Just picked up two more. I was gifted a Yashica FX-2 with 3 lenes, flash, carrying case and more. When I opened the carrying case there was a little pentax 70 zoom point and shoot in there too. Everything functions great but the mirror on the FX is sticking up. I am calling the camera shop that is semi close to me this morning to see if he can repair it in a couple of days for me while I am in that city. The Pentax point and shoot works great. I have a roll of fuji 400 loaded into it and ready to roll this weekend.
Marc, I am on a mission to get to 1/4 of your collection. Ha ha.

showing me up! ha ha. that rangefinder Yashica looks the bees knees! I am on the hunt now for older cameras that have some great image quality. Anything Fujifilm and Olympus I figure is a good start.
