I bought it used a couple of days ago but I am not sure if this lens should be "Pro" graded... Bokeh is really nice for close ups, focus is fast, but not sure about sharpness and especially about the excessive chromatic aberration I see in those images...

It does appear to be excessive. Perhaps a bad copy?

Hi, no modern lens on its own would normally give such results. How were these photos processed?

The results also seem variable. Out-of-focus parts of the images can vary, especially without the necessary correction..

As this is a used lens it may have been dropped & a lens element displaced. Query this with the seller & ask him to supply standard photos taken with this lens. If your processing is standard & works with any other lenses then you should return it to the seller for a refund.

Any idea how I can correct this? Also shall I check also the Olympus jpeg if that is corrected?

That's why I bought the Panaleica 25/1.4 instead.

The CA is pretty bad. The OP doesn't say what camera or software is used. I'm thinking maybe the in-camera lens correction wasn't applied by either the camera or the raw conversion software. That would happen with an older camera or a non-m4/3 camera with an adaptor.

The exif says he's using an OM-5

Thanks, so it's not the camera. Maybe the software used, otherwise, it's a dud.

Hi, I also got my OM 20mm F1.4 Pro recently, and paired it with my OM-5 too.

I attached here a link to my raw file and anyone might check if it exhibits the same issues of CA as the OP.

    I see no problem there.

Are the jpg files directly from camera or are you using a software to develop from RAW?
