    I heard them buzzing last week and caught a glimpse of them flitting around the early blooms but it was warm enough to sit outside today and I managed to snap this fine bumble bee, I don't usually photograph anything other than landscapes or anything faster moving than a tree growing so am more than happy with this image. Sony A7R4
    Sigma 100-400 @400mm, f6.3 (wide open) 1/2000s ISO 2500. Ken

    thats some nice details in the bee, shame there is no exif data to see what settings you used

    Thanks Fred. The framing is just cropping. I am definitely not good enough to get them sharp and well framed. As for Spring we have had a couple of freezing nights and cold rain with a biting wind so Winter hasn't entirely departed. Ken

    I'm a cropping agnostic. Cropping to get the right look is just fine by me.
