The last two days I was on the road with my little Ricoh GRIII. Today I took the A7RIII again which is my main camera. I must say that the pictures of the GRIII are really very good. Whenever I'm too lazy to take the big equipment with me, I can carry the GRIII with a clear conscience, because I know that I can take very good photos with it ;-) I have never seen another compact camera that delivers such convincing results. The Sony RX100 VII, which I also tested, is more versatile than the GRIII, yes, but in terms of quality it doesn't stand a chance in a direct comparison. That's why I'm happy to forgo the zoom lens and all the other gimmicks of the RX.

I didn't expect too much from the RX100 VII anyway, because a few years ago I used an RX10 III for 18 months, which didn't convince me at all. I published an article on the web describing my experience with the RX10 III. It is obvious that tiny 1" sensors are not suitable for me. Please click here if you want to learn more.

5.5.2023: Another beautiful spring day. It smells like rain which will hopefully start falling tomorrow.

Today I am greeted by a peculiar cloud cover.

The air is also more humid than on the previous days, which gives hope for further precipitation.

This single gentian jumped into my eye. I just had to photograph it.

At the moment there is something new to discover every day. This Coltsfoot is one of them.
