No great images here but I thought I should go out front and take some shots before these are gone. The magnolia is likely the best show in a decade. We planted it here about 35 years ago. It has done well and we enjoy it when it survives the spring frosts.

Thanks Paul. It had started to rain about the same time I stepped out the door so these were taken quickly!

I do like all the daffodils, Andrew. They come early and help to warm the winter-chill out. A host of golden daffodils, but you have white ones also, likely to mock Wordsworth. I guess the white ones flutter and dance in the breeze, too. I also like the angle you got on the tulip in #2 at that stage of flaunting itself. I didn't know about PJM Rhodies. They are beautiful.

I hope your back is relenting.

Here's a sad one. A tulip in Gill's Garden being torn to pieces by the wind, as I photographed it. On camera fill light to reduce the shadows in very harsh light. The wind blew away all the fog and mist cover and it got bright and hot, even in the wind. I had to drive inland on family business on Wednesday. It was 92° and I was happy to get back to the coast at 68°. Rich

    Your blooms look great Andrew.
You have lots more blooms, and more variety than we do at this point.

Rich, it is raining here again today. The daffodils are about done and more tulips are opening. The red one I shot is an early tulip and comes up about a week before the others. Your orange one might be a looker if not so beaten up!

As to the back, pretty much unchanged. It doesn't bother me so much if I sit or lie in bed all day. My legs are starting to feel like lead! Another two weeks until I get to see my GP.

Nice to see Spring continuing to pop up in the north country ... Here we are moving toward summer I suspect maybe one more of our named (forgotten by me) winters ... Our magnolia is gone it came with the house and lasted nearly 50 years with us ... Now no more continuous leaves, seed pods, and roots, etc .. and I can enjoy magnolias the way they should be -- in my neighbors yards! .... But then I sometime miss the shade it provided, the blooms that I photographed and it was home to several blue jays and other birds!!!! ... Enjoy yours ...

WN, we have not roots above ground level and I have seen no seed pods. Maybe ours is not old enough yet. We did get some seeds a few years ago but not enough to amount to anything. They must do better in your warmer climate!

    Thanks for looking and commenting.

    Andrew
