Had to head down to our chalet to check up on the renovation works last weekend and had a few minutes in the sun. Still a bit early for the flowers in the meadow

The cows thought they could get some late spring skiing in but someone had stolen all the snow from the pistes

You really have a very nice châlet in a very nice place!

It looks like spring in the French Alps is lagging behind what's going on here. The dandelions are all but gone here, and lots of flowers have popped up in the last few days. The grass is already tall. All this happened within a few days of warmer weather.

    Cheers,
    Reto

You have been busy with your chalet Rich. The roof looks new, new windows, new kitchen coming and a lot of drywall so perhaps even more than just a new kitchen. Not sure about your flooring there. Hopefully it is newer than the 70s and does not contain asbestos. Lovely country side there, even if spring is late.

Thanks Andrew. The roof is fine but 40 years old...it's weathered well. The walls had be insulated with 15cm of fluffy stuff, hnece the new drywall. The floor's a beauty eh ? New tiles being laid this week I hope. No asbestos that we have found yet

Lovely place. What's on the roof though? It doesn't look like solar panels.

They are little ridges to hold back the snow so that it doesn't all come rushing down and kill me :) . The roof's made for zinc panels

I guessed it was something like that. Never seen that here. I guess we want the snow to slide down.
