26.05.2023: The individual meadows obviously have their very own character.

In some meadows, the dandelion is already entering the last stage of its life.

Not far away, a completely different picture presents itself.
    rebafoto.ch/blog/2023/SpringSpeed/RI002552-f.jpg

The green of the larches completes itself and everything looks so fresh and alive.

The gentians can still hold on. Their deep blue sets them apart from all the fresh green and yellow.

When the cattle were brought up here this morning they literally jumped for joy. Finally out in the open again...

Small but nice: I liked the forget-me-nots already as a little boy and they have lost nothing of their radiance. They are currently quite common and sprout on all meadows.

Once again, beautiful images. I'm very tempted to get a Ricoh but I don't know if I could live without an evf.

    Thank you very much, Bob!

I asked myself the same question but finally could not resist the superior image quality of this little camera. And it turned out that I got used to work without EVF very quickly. In fact it didn't bother me anymore after my first outing with this camera after seeing the convincing results 😀
As far as I can say it's the best compact camera on the market... by far.

Thirteen years ago, I got a Panasonic GF1 with no viewfinder. I have had various MFT cameras since, some with VFs, some not. However, I have got so used to using the screen that I now very much prefer it. On my Olympus E-M1.3, I turn off the VF and have never used it. My preferred compact camera is a Panasonic GX800 (no VF, but a flip-up screen). I'll never go back to routinely using the VF.

Well, I actually work with both and am comfortable with both. My main camera is the Sony A7RIII which I use almost exclusively with the viewfinder. But I have no problem to switch to the GRIII and work with the screen. So I'm used to both worlds 😀

RetoB, excellent use of the "put something in the foreground" rule. Did you take this 1:1 with your GRIII, or crop to that ratio? It must be edited because it's not 4000x4000. No EXIF. Do you think running Topaz Sharpen (below) improves the background and clouds?

    Thank you very much!

I cropped the image in post processing, but had this format in mind when I took the picture. The Exif data is intact. You can see the Exif either on my website or if you install a browswer extension like Exify into your browser.

I don't think Topaz Sharpen does improve anything in the background, quite the opposite. For a sharper background, Focus Stacking is the better method. A few days earlier I took two shots with my A7RIII, using a small tripod, and combined the photos in Helicon Focus:

Your words and images remind me of Montaigne.😉

Hmm... do you mean a location or the French philosopher Michel de Montaigne ? 😉
