    So, testing...

    Sigma fp, Vivitar 28/2.5 (Kiron) (here's a forum option I want to see, photo captions... also, see the photo when you attach it, instead of needing to preview?)

    I like how this one came out; I like the framing better on the next one, but there's a rainbow artifact and I'm not sure where it came from:

    Could be flare, but I was testing a new lens hood, so it seems less likely?

    Given the weather conditions in your picture, that looks like more of the real thing than an artifact, IMO!

    A normal rainbow would require the light to be behind you, so I'd suspect something like sun dogs myself - but yes quite likely an actual atmospheric effect :)

    I suspected flare because the lens has already shown itself flare-prone; also, it only showed up when I pointed it closer to the light! ^^;;

    That said, I certainly defer to wiser heads than mine.
