Went for a walk on the trail behind a pond near my house. Spotted red winged black birds, yellow rumped warblers, a song sparrow, palm warbler (new to my life list), a catbird, and cedar waxwings (also new to my life list though I'd seen them before). There must have been 10+ cedar waxwings though I only saw them all when they flew away. Here's a few pix.

This is what Merlin ID'd as a Palm Warbler

A yellow rumped warbler took off right above me. I like the view of the wings.

A cute little song sparrow stopped singing for me to photograph him.

I got quite a few shots of the Cedar Waxwing. I really like this series.

A Catbird isn't very exciting, but, I thought it was a decent shot...

I like the cedar waxwing images Jim. They turned out well. Not sure if I have ever seen a catbird. Would not recognize a warbler if it came and perched upon my finger!

I seem to have missed these earlier .. some trouble remembering where I have and have not responded ..... I like those waxwings we use to have a flock stop by our holly trees for a day or so in late January or early February but a local flock of Robins has been striping the berries earlier the last several years and I haven't seen the waxwings unless I get over to the Wildlife refuge ... not this year .. Looks like ProCp or a fast sequence shooting that waxwing ...

I was using SH2 and was lucky enough to take a sequence just as he took off.
    With my O100-400 that's 25fps. Same as ProCap SH2.

These are all very nice photography, Jim. I also like the series of the cedar waxwing. I like seeing the interaction between the birds. I also like that great catch of the yellow rumped warbler. The light through the wings is great. I hope you can get a picture of the yellow butt someday. 😀 Rich
