Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly gathering of image makers on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. With the shuttering of DPReview, the last Sunday Cat! was hosted there on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! landed here at its new home on 9 April 2023.

“Official” posting time is every Sunday at 0000 UTC. Because this is Saturday afternoon for me, posting time may vary to accommodate my schedule. Thank you for all the wonderful images last week! It feels like they all should have been highlighted this week. The link above will get you there to enjoy them again, although I have to admit that Olympus SLR Talk at DPRevived is not as busy as the forum was at DPR, so the link is hardly necessary. I guess giving the Weekly Image Thread its own category does that. The Sunday Cat! however is staying at its ancestral home and will continue to welcome all cat fanciers here. :)

I have got a new lens (the OM 20mm F1.4 Pro) and was testing with the cats.
Peanut recovered from his eye injuries, and enters "Emperor Mode" again. 😂

Around here our cats have to work for their cat food. Every morning out the door they go taking care of their garden.

Am enjoying everyone's postings very much! I do want to mention that the Maine Coon breed is spelled with an E - for the state of Maine, USA. I'm a native Mainiac 😁 The breed has a very interesting history, as do so many. Here is Stella from 3 months to a bit over a year old. They grow up so fast!

I'm new here having been invited by Linda who I know from another forum. This photo is my blue point Siamese who was showing her milk chocolate coloring when I took the photo. Noelle was 18 when she had to cross Rainbow Bridge last year. She was my best friend and I miss her dearly and that is why I have chosen this photo for my avatar.
