Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly gathering of image makers on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. With the shuttering of DPReview, the last Sunday Cat! was hosted there on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! landed here at its new home on 9 April 2023.

Hi,

This is Frisky. Our old girl these days. 17 1/2 years old. This is a pic from a few years back where she looks her old self. She is showing her age now. Pretty much all she does these days is eat and sleep. I don't know how much longer we will have her. But she keeps going.

She was found in the local shelter when we went looking for another cat, Daisy, who disappeared. We thought someone might have picked her up and took her to the shelter. Daisy wasn't there, we found her a few days later and she was fine. Anyway, Frisky here was just a kitten in the cage sitting in the back corner with her head down. She had obviously given up already. So my wife said this here kitten was going home with us.

And it's been a grand time.

Oh, and you can see Fred there with her. You'd think Fred was Frisky's son. But he isn't.
Edit: or Frisky is a 2-headed cat..... :P

Mokey and Arni. Mokey trying to get a nap in before dinner. Arni has other ideas and is keeping his eyes on me before he starts to wake Mokey to start playing with his bud. Actually Arni's best bud in Lexi but Mokey will do.

not sure if I posted this but I was looking some files in my computer and found this.......the two on the sides are still on the farm the little one in the middle does not show any more......

Yes, I remember this one. It's sad to know that another one is gone, but as you have said, they are feral kitties and not pets. They return your kindness to them with their trust, and we benefit from seeing their images and stories. :)

This is a nice story about how Frisky came to you. Her sweet, drowsy look seems to say thank you. :)

It's nice that Frisky and Fred can be such good friends. That they are is probably a tribute to her apparent good nature (and hopefully Fred's as well!)

It does kind of look like the calm before the storm... :)
