Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly online community gathering on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. When DPReview was threatened with closure in March 2023, the last regular Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! found refuge here on 9 April 2023.

    Spaced-Out Kitty of the Week!

Jack, come on and join me! A little catnip never hurt anyone. 😁

As said by Warriormouse, "Photos can be more than just art, they can be memories, so come share your pictures and stories of your feline companions with us."

"Official" posting time is every Sunday at 0000 UTC. Because this is Saturday afternoon for me, posting time may vary to accommodate my schedule. I'll try to post a message if I know I will be very late. Anyone anxious to start the new week is free to do so. But if you do, please PM me so I don't accidentally double post.

Come one, come all! All cats, all cameras, all cat fanciers welcome! Digital cats or silver halide cats, cats of metal, or cats of the wilderness. Big cats, small cats, kittens and their toys. Cats of pen and ink, cats of brush and canvas, from any time, any place. Tales of their lives or adventures. Let the Sunday Cat! be a refuge to enjoy and marvel at the magic of cats, where positive comments abound and constructive criticism is given if requested.

The Sunday Cat! is now open for mischief. :D

    Thread Manager's Corner:
Unfortunately, this week's post was delayed because I took Mr. Me in for a re-check on his condition. While he is in many respects doing quite well, his ear problems have gotten worse, leaving him in a permanent state of vertigo. The medication he received did help with his ear infection, but the cancer is the issue now and nothing can be done to change that. I decided to take him home with me and watch him for another day or so. He does get around even though his world is spinning. He knows where he is and where he wants to go, but it takes a while because he can't get there in a straight line. He doesn't seem to be in any pain, but it's painful to watch. Having to say goodbye to a second friend in a two month time is what's holding me back right now. I think he'll make me reckon with that soon.

It's one of the saddest moments, Kim. Remember all those positive memories and know that you did your best

So sad to hear this. It is really hard when they leave us. He was a lovely guy A bit like Micio.

Micio seems to be finally getting better. His latest pee pee sample finally looked good today. Let's se what the vet says.

Kim sorry to read the news of Mr. Me's crossing over the rainbow bridge.
They take a piece of our heart when they leave us.
    And it hurts

Thank you. It was a long battle for Mr. Me, and finally the mountain he needed to climb to be well was just too high.

I'm glad that Micio is getting better and may have crested his mountain. I hope relief comes soon so he doesn't need any more meds, which is so much "fun" for them. I like how this picture seems to emphasize one of the cute traits of tuxedo cats, their white toes. Mr. Me had a long white glove on one leg, but Palmer had more of the toes only white markings. It's just one of the things that can make you smile when you look at them.
