Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly online community gathering on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. When DPReview was threatened with closure in March 2023, the last regular Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! found refuge here on 9 April 2023.

Thread Manager's Corner:
Not much to report on the kitty front for me. My plans to visit with Eleanor are on hold while I am having to do weekend musicals. Meanwhile, this last week was a wonderful, busy one, from beckoning cats to models helping us test out near gear to kitties just this side of a bout of play. :) Let's see where it might go in this one.

Please note that next week will be late again, due to the afore mentioned musical.

How many cats are, in normal circumstances, needed to clean your car ?

The Street Cats of Istanbul certainly can have an air of intensity about them. Being street cats, they probably need to keep awareness heightened, despite generally being well treated (as I assume).

KK always seems to have a regal air about her. Does she act that way or are we only being fooled by the way she presents herself before the camera?

I can't remember if we've seen Kitty from this side before or not. I don't remember seeing so much white before on her. It's interesting this week in that we have three different tuxedo/bi-color cats, all distinctive in many ways from one another. Mr. Me with his black nose, white whiskers over his right eye with black ones over his left with an unusual upward stroke of his muzzle whiskers, the Street Cat of Istanbul with its pink nose and coppery eyes, with a band of white fur tracing over the back, and Kitty with her black and pink nose, broad patch of white fur on her right side and traces of white fur throughout the remaining black. All the same type, all different.

I think it depends on how many muddy pawprints you want on the hood and windshield. ;)

As previously mentioned, the next edition will be going up late. As a reminder for the folks here in North America, time change to DST is tonight...ugh.

Oh, yes. Thanks for the reminder. I always miss it since I operate on UTC most of the time. When I use a clock, that is. Actually, most of the time I operate via the sun in the sky. No clock required. A sundial would work, but then I just watch the shadows cast by the trees.

And I always forget the vehicle clocks. They are already on EDT as I never bothered to Fall Back. :P

She is the matriarch of the house and rarely poses any more or is even seen .... very much retired ....
