Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly online community gathering on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. When DPReview was threatened with closure in March 2023, the last regular Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! found refuge here on 9 April 2023.

Bi-Color Kitty of the Week!

The bi-color competition was very stiff this week but Kitty took the prize in the Nipper pose alike contest. ;) (Nipper's story.)

Thread Manager's Corner:
This is the last weekend I'm tied up doing the show "Into the Woods", so next weekend I should post a little closer to the established time, we hope. ;) Meantime I'll be resetting the clocks on my cameras. (So far only the E-1 and the E-3.)

They are fantastic when they sleep with these incredible poses. Micio sleeps like this too.

I often listen to music in the bedroom in the evening with my headphones. Micio often comes and joins me. I have a feeling they know exactly where everybody is in the house, even when they are sleeping.

Before he lost both his eyes and simply became too unwell to do it anymore, after I went to bed and once the light was turned off, Mr. Me would join me, jumping up on the bed and settling in by my feet. He wouldn't do it until it was clear that I was settled for the night. It's those little things that you miss when they're gone.

Definitely a mystery here. We have to wonder. Where's the rest of the story? ;)

Double trouble...Stripey and Tiger

Ah ha! I thought there was a cat there somewhere! ;)

I guess that flexible spine is good for more than just rotating in flight! :)

I find this one very interesting to look at. Tiger staring off out of the frame looks like he might jump down from the sill. Stripey starting at the camera (phone) is finding that the thing to be more attuned to. Maybe because she is behind the curtain she doesn't see what Tiger sees. I like how the design in the curtain seems to mimic what is just beyond the window. And the raindrops on the glass emphasize the wall between inside and outside. It's just interesting to look at, and hard to describe! (I hope I've identified them correctly. I think Tiger is the one with the wider, darker necklace.)
