Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly online community gathering on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday,e except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. When DPReview was threatened with closure in March 2023, the last regular Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. After taking a leap of faith, the Sunday Cat! found refuge here on 9 April 2023.

Thread Manager's Corner:
It was a week of late bloomers with a special story about Onyx, a throw-away kitty who lucked into finding just the right person to help him find a good home. :) Good news is always welcome here! Starting the new week on that hopeful note, we look forward to the images and possible stories to come.

I like the wintery feel of it with the cool blue of the outside contrasting with the warm light on KK. Right now as summer ramps up the cool atmosphere feels good. :)

Cats really do have some weird sleeping positions. Ours does these types of contortions too.

Grooming. Often a sign that someone has just enjoyed a good meal. :)

We lower the blinds come late afternoon. But leave the bottom up enough to let some sun in. And Jack has found where that sunlight landed. Of course he did! :)
