I'm surprised to see this wasn't implemented from the outset, or that no one seems to have mentioned it, for a site that wants to be the one DPR users migrate to, but...

How about support DPR user names? I mean, people cannot replicate their DPR name if you can't even have a space in the user name. If your forum software won't support spaces in the actual userid, then how about implementing a displayed user name, or nickname, that allows a range of characters that mirrors what DPR allowed, so that people can maintain their moniker?

I had to change my user name on this forum, because it doesn't support the space character.

This website is only 16 days old and still under development.
The inability to include a space in a member’s user name has been mentioned quite a few times and may be addressed as changes take place.

Fair enough, I just didn't see it mentioned in the feature request thread (maybe I was looking at the wrong one) so I thought I'd mention it, as there had been requests by people promoting the site for users to use their DPR forum names when they moved over, that's all. Here's hoping the site is successful!

Yes, I know, the lack of a space is annoying, but it seems that these spaceless UNs are quite fundamental to how the whole system works. Hopefully we'll find a way, but it's not that high on the priority list.

Hmmm...there's the old trick of using an underscore as a substitute for a space. Does that work here? Examples: Paul_Jones, Sarah_Upton
