I like swallows WN. We used to have them in the backyard when we moved here 35 years ago. There was a swallow/martin house on a pole but the maple tree nearby got too large and the house is now inside the tree so no more swallows or martins.
A bird on a wire is often an appealing image, as is the case with yours.

Thanks Andrew .... Very quick, intelligent and feisty little birds.... I use to have to walk across a bridge to get to some work. They were nesting under that bridge. I was attacked several times while crossing and even once while walking some distance away from the bridge by a swallow who remembered and apparently resented my presence .... I have only admired martins from a distance as they spend the summer chasing dragon flies at the Botanical Garden....

So that's what swallows look like when still WhyNot. I see lots of them while out chasing hawks where there are lots of barns. They fly so fast that it's hard to track them with my eyes. I wouldn't try it with a camera. Rich

    Nice clear shots WN.
I've been trying to catch them in flight - without much success.
Here's a few examples from today.

Barn swallow were going crazy just over the grass in this local park.

In another area I was trying to find birds to photograph, the tree swallow were soaring overhead.

Thanks, Paul ... good to see you over here again .. I don't think we've had coffee together since we sat on that bench a week ago .. somewhere else .. it seems ... As to those swallows .. too quick for me .. I'll stick to the gulls when they are around, in the air and I'm in the mood for a challenge ...
